Last September, Untitlab brought its SS25 collection to life with Abyss, a hauntingly visceral performance at the Institute of Contemporary Arts during London Fashion Week. Directed by Nicolas Tian, with music by Oscar B. Morgan and choreography by Lewis Walker, the showcase explored themes of desire, mortality, and the tension within liminal spaces.
Inspired by Georges Bataille's writings in Erotism: Death and Sensuality, Abyss challenged audiences to confront the delicate interplay between longing and possession. Performers Alex Thirkle and Andrex Lennox Scott embodied this exploration, creating a dynamic narrative through movement, sound, and striking visual effects.
Untitlab, known for its innovative footwear and accessories, used Abyss to extend its creative vision beyond fashion, offering a multi-sensory experience that blurred the lines between performance art and fashion presentation.
